The last update on the restore of power was up to one month? So what has changed to allow the power to be restored by this weekend? Was the damage to the power lines much less than originally thought? Just curious?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure of the answers to what has changed, but this information is direct from Okanogan PUD officials. I like the new timeline much better!

ReplyDeleteToday Aug 7, all day long Seaplanes were picking up water from Lake Osoyoos.. All I can figure out is they were probably headed to the Upper Falls fire? Does anyone know for sure what all those Seaplanes were being used for?

Good morning Frank. The scoopers were not used on the Upper Falls fire yesterday, just helicopters. We re not sure were they where used as is wasn't the Carlton Complex or the Upper Falls fire. They might have pulled water from the lake for another fire in the area like the Lone Mountain Fire or the Little Bridge Creek Fire, but we are not manage either of those fire.
