7/25/14 7:45pm Update From American Red Cross

The Red Cross has opened two Client Service Centers to provide assistance to those who have been affected by the wildfires. Anyone who has lost a home or has disaster-caused emergency needs should come to one of the following locations starting tomorrow, Friday, July 25:

· TWISP: Methow Valley Community Center, Parking Lot – 201 Hwy 20 South, Twisp. Open 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Spanish speaking caseworkers available.
· PATEROS: Pateros High School, Parking Lot —  Open 9:00 am – 8:00 pm. Spanish speaking caseworkers available.

 Red Cross health services and disaster mental health workers will also be available at the Client Service Centers.

Caseworkers are also available at all Red Cross shelters and over the phone at (571) 205-3464 from 8am-8pm (Spanish speaking caseworkers available).

 Red Cross shelters that continue to be in operation include:

· Chelan High School - 215 W. Webster Ave. Chelan
· Brewster High School – 503 South 7th, Brewster
The Red Cross has mobilized several Emergency Response Vehicles to provide feeding sites throughout our affected communities. Feeding will be available during lunch (11am-1pm) and dinner (4:00-6:00pm) tomorrow (July 25) at:

·  Twisp Community Center (fixed site)
·  Throughout the Pateros/Methow, Carlton and Brewster communities (mobile feeding)
·  All open Red Cross shelters – see above
 
Since the start of Red Cross operations on this disaster (July 17, 2014), the Red Cross has provided 268 overnight stays emergency shelters; 6,914 meals ; 6,223 snacks; and 200 health and 346 mental health contacts in the community. Red Cross volunteers from throughout Washington and across the country have come to the area to support this disaster operation.
