There are hundreds of people now affected by evacuations within the Carlton Complex. Mallot was just evacuated today and, with the wind blowing as hard as it is, more should be expected. The fire has also pushed close to Carlton which is already under a level 3 evacuation. But it's important to know that if you are at a level 2 evacuation, you might not be given notice that your area has gone to level 3. It's right in the Level 2 evacuation paperwork.
There is nothing that says you have to WAIT to be evacuated. If you are uncomfortable with the nearness of the fire, you should leave. If you have been told to evacuate, please heed those instructions. And if you are already under a level 2 evacuation order and you feel you or your family are at risk, please leave. Don't wait for an official order, because as fast a this fire is moving, they may not be able to get to you in time.
