Cambios en el Nivel de Evacuación
El nivel de evacuación fue re-evaluado está mañana para el complejo de fuego
Carlton Complex y Rising Eagle Road Fire al sur de Winthrop. Lo siguiente es el nivel de evacuación a partir del sábado, 2 de Agosto del 2014 a las 10:30 a.m. El nivel de evacuación será otra vez re-evaluado mañana.

Wandling Road
Rising Eagle Road
Hill Drive
Signal Hill

Nivel 2:
Twin Lakes Road to Wolf Creek intersection
Sun Mountain Ranch
Sun Mountain Resort
Pine Forest
Upper Bear Creek Road

Evacuation Level Change

Evacuation Levels were re-evaluated this morning for the Carlton Complex and Rising Eagle Road Fire south of Winthrop. The following are the current closures and evacuations as of Saturday, August 02, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. Evacuations will again be re-evaluated tomorrow.
Level 3:  Wandling Road Rising Eagle Road Hill Drive
Signal Hill

Level 2:

Twin Lakes Road to Wolf Creek intersection Sun Mountain Ranch
Sun Mountain Resort Pine Forest
Upper Bear Creek Road
East Chewuch Road to Boulder Creek
Pearrygin Lake State Park is closed for the weekend.

Level 1:

Winthrop City

Closures:

Highway 20 now OPEN to all traffic.
The Forest Closure Order has been expanded to include a larger area to the north of the Carlton Complex. American Red Cross Evacuation Centers

The American Red Cross has opened two evacuation centers: the Methow Valley Community Center, 201 S. Methow Valley Highway, in Twisp, and the Mazama Community Church, 18202 Highway 20, in Mazama, due to Level 2 evacuations called in the Winthrop and Level 3 in Sun Mountain areas. Download the Red Cross shelter app at: http://www.redcross.org/mobile-apps/shelter-finder-app and wildfire apps http://www.redcross.org/mobile-apps/wildfire-app to keep up to date.

8/1/14 Evacuation Update 8pm

** EVACUATION UPDATE**

Due to today’s fire activity on the Carlton Complex and the new fire south of Winthrop along Highway 20, the following closures and evacuations are now in place. The evacuations will be re-evaluated in the morning. It is estimated that approximately 200 residences have been evacuated including the Sun Mountain Resort. Twisp is not under evacuation.

Level 3: 
Twin Lakes Road to Wolf Creek Road
Sun Mountain Resort
Pearrygin Lake State Park is under evacuation and closed at least through the weekend.

Level 2:
Upper Bear Creek Road
East Chewuch Road to Boulder Creek

Level 1:
Winthrop City
Highway 20 from Twin Lakes Road to Winthrop

Closures:
Highway 20 is open to LOCAL RESIDENTS ONLY from Twisp to Winthrop
A Forest Closure Order is currently being written for the area north of the Carlton Complex

Shelters:
Two shelters have been established at the Community Center in Twisp and the Community Church in Mazama.

New Fire Update – 8-1-14 4:30 PM


About 2:30 this afternoon, a new start was reported west of Highway 20, about 1/2 mile south of Twin Lakes Road. The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and Fire Protection District 6 are doing initial attack are coordinating air and ground resources with the Rocky Mountain Incident Management Team. The fire appears to be moving northwest around Liberty Bell High School where the Carlton Complex Incident Command Post (ICP) is located. Carlton Complex personnel have secured the ICP and are continuing fire suppression efforts on the Carlton Complex.

We are experiencing 20 mile an hour winds with thunderstorms moving through the area.

Level three evacuations are in place for the Twin Lakes Road to Wandling Road and Signal Hill Road. Winthrop is at level 2 evacuations.

Highway 20 is closed from mile post 196 to mile post 202; at the old Twisp Highway.
